'Touched By the Dead: Ireland' Sneak Peek

Ghost Hunters International returns for another new episode this Wednesday on SyFy. Check out a sneak peek of that episode below!

Video no longer available.

'Sensing Evil: Argentina and Trinidad' Episode Recap

The Ghost Hunters International team took on two cases, one in Argentina and the other in Trinidad, on this the July 20th episode.

The team's first case takes them to Chacachacore Island in Trinidad. Kris and Barry hear movement in the chapel. Joe feels a tightening in his chest and a creepy sensation in the nun's quarters while investigating with Scott. Paul and Susan hear voices, shadows, and movement in the infirmary and Susan feels her backpack move on its own. Kris and Barry hear an exhalation and in the cemetery can hear a woman's voice. The team captures faint footsteps, a voice, "go", and "get out". Research reveals that a nun did die at the location under mysterious circumstances. GHI then travels to a slaughter house in Argentina. Barry hears a voice call out "Kris" in the main slaughter lot. Paul and Susan are able to attribute the claims of  women's voices to pigeons in the social area. Scott and Joe hear a cough and see a figure move from the left to right in the cold room. Susan and Paul hear a shuffling sound in the main area. When looking at photos, the team debunks the orbs and records a voice saying "It's my job".

'Rising From the Dead: Trinidad' Episode Recap

Ghost Hunters International kicked off its third season last Wednesday with a viewer boost to 1.17 million viewers! The first episode features their investigation of the Lopinot Plantation in Trinidad. Here's a recap of what happened:

Kris and Barry start off the evening with an EVP session in the cocoa house/jail. Paul and Susan hear footsteps and a voice above them when in the main house. They also hear a door slam (a claim), but think that the cause of the sound could be the wind. Barry's camera equipment malfunctions near the Gomez Cave and Barry see a figure in front of him that he believes is Kris, until he realizes that she is behind him. They also hear movement around them. Joe and Scott have trouble working with the thermal in the same location, but do capture strange figures on tape, as well as see a flash of light. Paul and Susan discover that the "blood" that is claimed to be on the hanging tree is actually just natural resin that appears to be red. Back by the river, Kris sees a figure move in the brush, but it leaves no marks of its presence. While investigating in the cemetery, Joe and Scott notice that a lot of dogs start barking at once, which could signal paranormal activity. Susan feels something touch her leg as her and Paul leave the caves after hearing noises inside. Once the investigation is over, the team tries to learn more about steel drums and even tries to create their own "music". Upon evidence review, the figures that Joe and Scott saw by the river are debunked to be Paul and Susan. The team records a growl and video footage of a light in a tree, as well as a figure by the river (as seen by Kris earlier in the investigation.)

A new episode of GHI will air on Wednesday!

New Kris Williams & Barry FitzGerald Interviews Roundup

A few new interviews have appeared online with Ghost Hunters International investigators Kris Williams and Barry FitzGerald.

Big Daddy Horror Reviews interviewed both team leaders. Barry shares an account of a life threatening paranormal experience and they also address the dangers of investigating, as well as sharing an experience where  the team was followed by an entity.

On the subject of personal experiences, what has been the most life-threatening paranormal encounter you've experienced?
Barry Fitzgerald: ...would be the biggest one for me, would have been off the show. And it nearly drowned me in Slovakia - or sorry, not Slovakia, in Snagov in Romania, just a little Transylvania. And whatever that was that was in the water, it's not good. And that was the most challenging thing I have come up against to date.

AOL Weird News interviewed Kris Williams and she discussed being star struck by Meat Loaf and the challenges of respecting cultural beliefs while investigating the paranormal.

"I grew up with him [Meatloaf]," Williams told AOL Weird News. "I knew his music and I loved him in 'Fight Club,' but when I heard he was going to be on the show, I promised myself I wouldn't ask about 'Fight Club,' or 'Bat Out Of Hell.' I didn't think he wanted to hear that. I thought, 'He probably gets that all the time.'"
Oh, but the tables were turned.
"I couldn't believe it," she said. "He was so into the show, he was asking me about particular investigations and what really happened. I thought to myself, 'He's doing to me what I promised myself I wouldn't do to him.'"

Barry FitzGerald on Live Paranormal Tonight

LiveParanormal.com will be presenting an exclusive interview with Ghost Hunters International lead investigator Barry FitzGerald later today. The interview will be conducted via live video chat at 9 PM ET/6 PM PT.

New Kris Williams & Scott Tepperman Interviews

With just under one week to go until the season premiere, two new interviews have emerged online with Ghost Hunters International team members Kris Williams & Scott Tepperman.
In an interview with Examiner.com, new team lead Kris Williams discusses reconciling her skepticism with her investigating, her interest in genealogy, the new season, and more.
Will we see a lot of instances in the new season where you walk into a location expecting to find nothing-- or to be able to scientifically reason everything you may come into contact with-- only to be surprised by what may leave you hanging?
K.W.: It’s funny because there have been a lot of cases-- it sounds horrible but there are a lot of cases where I’m like ‘Nothing’s here! It used to be a funeral home; it’s a dungeon; of course people are going to get creeped out; give me a break!’ But once we get into the investigation, the craziest stuff comes out. There was one location in which I saw this huge six-foot tall shape-- shadow-- of a man, and it started from one dark corner and walked to the next, and while it was doing this I heard the door that it was next to unlock. You can’t always go by feeling on a place, that’s for sure, because you could be surprised. And there’s always the places we’ll go to where none of us will have personal experiences, but then there’s something on our audio or on our video that we can’t explain, and we’ll go back and try to pull it apart a little bit more and we still won’t be able to explain it.
Fellow investigator Scott Tepperman was also interviewed by a local Tallahassee news station along with a member of his own paranormal team, the APLHA Ghost Team. You can watch the video interview via this link.
Don't forget that the new season of Ghost Hunters International will premiere its new season on July 13th on Syfy!

News Roundup: Scott's New Book, Kris's Favorite Doors' Songs

Here are a few pieces of news that should have been posted on here a little while ago, but unfortunately weren't. At least they are here now!

Ghost Hunters International's Scott Tepperman has published a new book entitled Chasing Winter. It is a collection of poems that document Scott's experiences traveling the world. It is available at Lulu.com. Here's an excerpt from the book that helps explain the book's title.
First off, I chose the name of my book "Chasing Winter", since it encompass both a literal and figurative meaning. Most likely due to budgetary considerations or to availability/accommodation factors, our filming schedules often place us in locations during the off-season or less desirable time of the year - hence we LITERALLY find ourselves "chasing winter."
Check out a preview below!

On a related note, GHI's Tech Manager Paul Bradford has also published his own book Wish You Were Here. The book features Paul's images from his travels around the world and has received great reviews.

Also, in a new interview, Kris Williams revealed her top 10 favorite songs from the the band The Doors (familiar to anyone who follows her on Twitter, or at least it should be).
