Ghost Hunters to Investigate Buffalo Central Terminal Live this Halloween

SyFy announced earlier today that this year's Ghost Hunters Live will take place at Buffalo Central Terminal in Buffalo, New York. The investigation will broadcast live on SyFy Halloween night from 7 PM to 1 AM. In accordance with SyFy's advertising new advertising partner Dodge, "the Grand Caravan will play an integral role throughout the Ghost Hunters Halloween Live event, as the minivan's technology will be used to enhance the TAPS team's hunt throughout the 6 hours". As usual, there will be live video feeds online at Syfy.com, live chats with the team, and a panic button. The live event will feature investigators from the entire Ghost Hunters franchise, as well as a few special guests.
Airing Sunday, October 31, from 7PM-1AM (ET/PT), Ghost Hunters Halloween Live features cast members from the entire Ghost Hunters franchise (as well as some other special guests), who will team up to take on the haunts at the inimitable Buffalo Central Terminal in Buffalo, New York. Built in 1929 and abandoned 50 years later, the Terminal was once a bustling, 14-story combination office tower and train station. Now, this decaying art deco masterpiece is a potent hotbed of paranormal activity.

Meat Loaf Investigating with TAPS on "One of the Coolest Cases Ever"

Jason Hawes posted a tweet yesterday that revealed that Meat Loaf, who has previously appeared as a guest investigator on Ghost Hunters and has expressed a desire to return to the show, will indeed be appearing in a future episode. Not only that, but Jason mentioned that they are on "one of the coolest cases ever". As of now, it is unsure when the investigation will air on SyFy, but it will probably be included in Season 7, which premieres next year.

Heading to one of the coolest cases ever and guess whose joining us? The one and only Meatloaf...
More Info: Steve has been tweeting from Birmingham, Alabama and even uploaded this photo from their shoot. If Steve is with the TAPS team (no word yet on whether Ghost Hunters Academy has been officially cancelled), it would be safe to assume that the team is with Meat Loaf somewhere in Birmingham. Note that this is just speculation and nothing is certain.
In Birmingham Alabama!! I left the 60's and here its in the 90's... so hot!

Kris Talks Tweeting, Traveling, and Her Big Secret

MassLive.com has posted a new interview with TAPS' Kris Williams in which she talks about Twitter, traveling, teases about her big secret, and her New England sarcasm.

LM: You've been teasing your followers on Twitter lately about a big secret -- When will you be doing the big reveal?
KW: I don't know yet -- I can't say until I get the go ahead.
LM: There has even been a hashtag created for the secret #KrisBigSecret ...

KW: Yes, it's funny, I've been getting all kinds of crazy guesses.

LM: Which was your favorite?
KW: (laughing) Oh, there was one about starting a new reality show called 'Kris' new BFF' where you would have to learn to shoot, ghost hunt and sing a Doors' song in order to win.
LM: Speaking of the Doors, I hear you'll be joining a Doors tribute band in New York City. How did that come about?
KW: A mutual fan of the Doors tribute band and I got us together. Some of my other interests are that I'm a huge Morrison fan. I'll be doing the one appearance with them and we'll see New York goes.

Send In Your Fan Stuff!

Have you made any Ghost Hunters fan art, videos, backgrounds, etc? Have you met the TAPS team or have a signed item that you would like to share with the world? Have you ever written any fan fiction? In the near future, a new page will be added to GhostHuntersFans.Net that is devoted to all that "fan stuff" (and some more), but before it can open, it needs stuff from the fans! That's where you come in! If you have anything that you think could be added to the future page (fan encounters, stories, photos, art, videos, whatever), please send it to ghfwebmaster@gmail.com. If you have yet to make anything that fits the criteria, it's never too late to start. The bottom line is this: if you have something/make something that you think other GH fans would appreciate, send it in!

Pink RayGun Interviews Kris Williams

Pink Raygun has posted a new interview with TAPS investigator and "tough chick" Kris Williams. In the interview, Kris talks more about her background, how she joined TAPS, her scariest experiences, and what it's like to work in fields were there are lots more men than women.

PRG: Prior to Ghost Hunters, you had a pretty wide variety of experience, from construction and modeling and acting. How did you transition between them?

KW: My father raised me to know that being a female is not a weakness, being a female doesn’t mean you can’t do things. He was big on teaching me new things that were considered unusual for girls. I spent many summers working on my car – he taught me how to do bodywork and mechanical stuff. He was a flooring installer and that’s how I got into that.
I reached a point in my life where I was sick of doing the normal nine-to-five thing, so I started trying different things. I tried the flooring and did tile, hardwood, vinyl, and all that stuff. But, I also worked in carpentry where I was doing things like installing oak staircases and cabinets, framing doors and hanging windows. I have always been a very hands on person.
I also don’t like being told I can’t do something. It’s mainly by guys. If a guy tells me I can’t do something, I will kill myself to not only do it, but do it better than they do. I think that’s what happened with the flooring. I was part of a crew and was the only girl there.
It’s a strange little world, and it’s not only there. It’s in a lot of situations that are male driven. If you want to do well, you not only have to bust your ass, you have to work harder than they do to get any respect. It’s helped me out a lot in a few areas of my life.

Behind The Scenes: Ghost Hunters at the Zoo

Tonight the TAPS team will take on a whole different kind of case, as they investigate America's oldest zoo in Philadelphia. TV Guide has a short piece online which features some behind the scenes moments from the team's investigation.
"This is our first chance to investigate a zoo," says TAPS' lead investigator Jason Hawes. "And to do it at the first zoo in America is great." Still, the site's history had Hawes' partner-in-paranormality Grant Wilson feeling a little cagey. "It's supposedly a Native American burial ground. William Penn's grandson had a house here, it's been a zoo forever...it could be totally different hauntings than we're used to."
Investigator Britt Griffith powwows with Wilson and Hawes to map out the night's locations, which include a grassy knoll where spotting a ghostly Native American won't be their only problem. "We've never been in an area where we don't know what sounds are gonna come out," says Wilson. "We might hear a bear. We might hear [birds]. So we have to pay really attention to the audio."
Before the investigation begins, Griffith goes over each group's assignment from a central location (aka, the team's van). The key to rattling ghosts into activity? "Treat them with respect," urges Hawes. "They're just people. They had families, they had lives. So you go in there, be honest with them, tell them what you're doing. You just talk to them."
"Paranormal investigating is possibly one of the most boring hobbies a person can have," quips Amy Bruni as she fires up an infrared-equipped DV recorder for a long night of waiting and watching. "It looks really exciting on the show because we go to the best locations."

Of the six investigations, which was your favorite? Why?

GOD!! That is a tough question.... I mean I want to say The Stanley... of course.. it was terrifyingly brillant but I also really really loved the Ohio State Reformatory... We got to stay at the Stanley and we were always surrounded by paranormal activity which was great. The history was rich and a novel was based off of the experiences that happens at the Stanley. The prison was huge and there were so many things that happened that no one could explain. it was almost like the spirits were playing with us tricking us to do what they wanted US to do. Plus i loved working with Michelle!
