Jason Hawes Interview: the NY Times Article, Skeptics, Plumbing, & Much More

Jason Hawes just wrapped up an hour-long interview with LiveParanormal.com, in which he talked about the production of Ghost Hunters, the paranormal community, the TAPS "mafia", the coat tug from the Halloween Live event, and more. In the beginning of the interview, Jason spoke about the craziness that ensued after an article about TAPS was published by the New York Times and how that led to the start of GH. Despite the skeptics and time away from his family, Jason said he wouldn't change anything that happened since 2002. On a not-as-serious note, Jason confirmed that he is still a plumber (a pretty good one it turns out!) with Roto-Rooter and that is what he plans to continue doing after the show. The interview wrapped up with Jason expressing his gratitude toward the fans and assuring us that Season 7 will be great!

GH Filming at Fort Knox in Maine this February

The Fort Knox State Historic Site in Prospect, Maine, will be featured in a future episode of Ghost Hunters. The TAPS team will be investigating the site for two nights in February and the production crew will film interviews with various witnesses of paranormal activity. The fort was constructed between 1844 and 1864 and has retained the same architecture since then. During the Spanish-American War, 500 troops were stationed at Fort Knox. (Historical info via the State of Maine website).

A production crew from the SyFy cable television network's “Ghost Hunters” show will film an episode of the popular series in February at Fort Knox State Historic Site.

A video crew will visit Maine’s most popular state historic site for six days looking for evidence of ectoplasmic apparitions, according to Maine Bureau of Parks and Lands officials. The fort structure is closed during the winter season, and the public will not be allowed on the property during filming, said BPL Park Historian Tom Desjardin.

“It will be interesting to see what they find, and it’s always great when one of our historic sites gets national attention,” Desjardin said.

LiveParanormal to Interview Jason Hawes this Monday

In a unique, exclusive event, Jason Hawes will be interviewed live on LiveParanormal.com this coming Monday. The interview will take place via internet radio January 31, 2011 at 9 PM EST (that's 6 PM PST). In order to listen, you must register on the Live Paranormal site prior to the radio show. It's not often that Jason or Grant is interviewed, except during select press events prior to or during the promotion of each new season of Ghost Hunters, so this is a unique opportunity for fans.

Amy Bruni Signing Copies of TAPS ParaMagazine

Just like Kris Williams did when she was featured in the previous issue of TAPS ParaMagazine, Amy Bruni will be signing copies of the magazine sent to her by fans. As of now, there aren't any limits on how many she will sign, so anyone is welcome to send in their copy, with the condition that they include a self-addressed postage paid return envelope and limit the number of copies per household to three. Ghost Hunters International Premieres Tonight at 9/8c

An all new season of Ghost Hunters International premieres tonight at 9/8c on SyFy! The investigations aren't the only new things this season, because the whole team has been shaken up, most notably Kris Williams and Britt Griffith have transferred over from TAPS. Barry FitzGerald (as lead investigator), Paul Bradford, Joe Chin, and GHA winner Susan Slaughter all return to from a team of six for the season premiere tonight. (Scott Tepperman will appear in later episodes). Earlier today Kris Williams appeared on FOX news, a clip of her appearance can be seen via this link. And finally, to celebrate the season premiere tonight, SyFy is airing an all day Ghost Hunters International marathon, so tune in starting at 8 AM. Happy New Year 2011! (Yes, it is already January 2nd, but better late than never.) It's time to start off fresh and set our sights to the months ahead of us.
